The largest object of the solar system is the sun. It makes 99.8% of the solar system mass. It is a dwarf star capable of disrupting the life on our mother Earth. It can even upset the space with its instantaneous and vicious mood outbursts. The sun is the greatest nuclear reactor in space known to humankind. It produces energy 100 M times more than all other planets.
The Sun is the major source of light on the earth. The sun makes the center of the solar system. There are eight planets in the solar system including our Earth. Sun is a day star that is yellow in color. It is a dwarf star. It is made up of hot glowing gases. Hydrogen makes most of the composition of the Sun. The hydrogen atom in its core reacts to form helium atoms and produces a lot of nuclear energy. This process is the ultimate source of the Sun’s power. The energy at the core explodes in the form of visible light and heat energy. This energy spreads and lights the whole solar system.
“Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.”
– Helen Keller
The Sun is worshipped as God with different names in many parts of the world.
Did you know? The Earth recieves only a billionth of the Sun's energy.
