Veera’s friend listened to his elder call and returns. Veera being naughty and restless does not listen. He stays back at the site of construction.

He finds a huge log of wood. The log was split half from the mid. To split the log fully the next day, the villagers had put another wedge inside it. Veera finds it funny and pulls the wedge out. The open ends of the log snap together and poor Veera stuck his hands in it. He cries loudly in pain and remembers the old leader’s warning.

One of the monkeys notices Veera in pain at the construction site. He calls other monkeys for helping Veera.
